Nendo dango is the technique invented by Japanese microbiologist, Masanobu Fukuoka, which protects seeds in small clay balls that contain nutrients and stop the seeds from becoming feed for birds. This increases germination rates.
Thanks to the Más Árboles Foundation, this rain coat has a nendo dango inside it that was produced in the Foundation’s workshop, so that when you want to get rid of the raincoat, you can plant it instead of throwing it away.
This mac is both compostable and biodegradabile, guaranteed through the EN 13432:2000 standard. Traditional plastics with additives (oxodegradables) are frequently incorrectly called “biodegradable”, but are not compostable. They only disintegrate and their harmful components go to the earth. The EN 13432:2000 standard means that the raw material and all of the additives are natural and when they biodegrade they turn into fertilizer.
