Camping is one of the joys of summer. Here are a few tips we have learned the hard way:
- Thin pans with lids are best. They heat up faster, but also burn more easily, so stir frequently
- Washing up on camping trips is not good use of time or water. One pot cooking is best.
- Frozen milk can keep a cool bag cold for a couple of days, and then you have fresh milk when it has thawed
- Dried food is much lighter to carry than tins. Pasta and pesto tastes even better outdoors!
