- 25% of the world's insecticides and 10% of the world's pesticides are consumed by conventionally grown cotton.
- The most commonly used pesticides are toxic and many are carcenogenic.
- Organic cotton doesn't use any of these, so is better for the soil, the wildlife and the people who pick the cotton
