Mr Birdee is made from thin plywood so that it can be easily bent to create the wonderful curved frontage that makes is so distinctive and attractive. It should be sited out of direct sunlight to avoid the risk of fledglings overheating and the outside of the wood should be treated with a water based preservative to extend Mr Birdee's life.
