Etienne Esmenjaud is a UK based product designer inspired by an inherent love for nature. His products embrace an unspoken desire to promote a healthy respect for the natural world and to bring people closer to it. Little wonder that a youth spent traversing the great outdoors from the Pyrenees to the French Alps via the Mediterranean coastline would prove such a catalyst for his future work.

After completing his French degree in industrial aesthetics, Etienne arrived in the UK with plans to discover a new design culture and embarked on a Product Design degree at Southampton Solent University.

Before he graduated as one of the faculty's shining lights in 2006, Etienne had won the prestigious Royal Society of Arts' Design Directions award, courtesy of Organomad, an eco-conscious internet cafe seating concept as well as Second Prize in the Urbis Lighting Live competition with his striking Vegetal system.

A few years later he launched Desinature- a small team of like-minded creatives committed to design and manufacture eco-friendly products in an ethical and socially responsible way.
